Highway to hell

I don't think I've been here for a long time, but it ain't short either! I definitely don't know about you but I'm so drawn to people with good character. But then, what is good character and why be of good character?

I would explain a good character by the overall moral compass of a person. Morality is debated to be subjective or objective. It depends on the cultures, upbringing, religion, etc. I'm not getting deep into that debate now.

One of the most important virtues I admire in people are respect, good judgment and humility.

There are just people who make heavy things lighter, it's beautiful to witness. The ultimate power of good character is the lightness of the decision making process from encountering a situation to choosing how to react accordingly. When you look about it closely, life is all about the decisions we make and the end results.

Bad character slowly rots one's reputation, and remember reputation takes a long time to build. One might think they've found a way to rig the system with bad character but the truth doesn't take long to unfold. You'll be simply paving your highway to hell.

Having good character I would say is such a beautiful and important thing to have. It builds meaningful connections, strengthens trust, increases effectiveness, builds discipline, etc. It helps one become successful or simply accept losses with grace. Again the goal is not to be likeable but be a person worth being in a society.
